“Messiah”
56” x 66”, oil on canvas, 2011
Transfixed
with the desire we have to find a Messiah or someone to rescue us from the fix
we always seem to find ourselves;
we might just be acting as perennial victims of our own devices. Here we
transport our new Messiah expressing our support
and adulation while the dog, the narrator, expresses his concern or at least his
skepticism.
